Double's Players Needed
We're excited to announce Wembley has once again been selected to take part in the Cleveland Challenge, an event described as the Championship of All Club Champions. The event will take place the evening of  Friday, April 29 and the day of Sunday, May 1. We are going to field 10 doubles teams (women's 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5; men's 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5; and mixed 9.0). Our 10 teams will face off against teams from other area clubs. Last year everyone who participated in this event had a blast, and we managed a first place tie in our division. While this is a competitive event, it's not important that we win. It's simply important that we have fun, represent the Club and ourselves well, and make new friends. You can sign up with a partner if you like, and we'll do our best to accommodate your wishes. But if we have overload at a given spot, we may have to have some teams playoff. Last year we didn't have to do that, but we may have more interest this year. We are planning on locking in our roster asap, so please notify us right away if you'd like to participate.
 

This is a great way to tune up for Summer USTA, and an opportunity you don't want to miss.

KIDS NIGHT OUT

Wembley kids and parents agree: Wembley is the place to be for Kids Night Out. The concept is simple. Bring the kids to Wembley from 6-10 pm, leave them with us, and then do whatever you'd like to do. We entertain the kids. Games, crafts, activities, dinner and a movie. Parents are free to enjoy a drink and dinner in the Taverne, play tennis, work out, or leave the Club and enjoy themselves elsewhere. Come back at 10 and we'll have the kids worn out and ready for bed.
